In the Summer of 2020, I worked alongside Sarah West Valstar and Lauren Kinnersley to develop a door step puppetry show aimed at 2 to 5 year olds. We worked with City Arts and Small Steps Big Changes to develop the show. We developed the show to help families support with the transition period as the first lock down eased, within the show the main character Bear used techniques to help the deal with strong emotions.
We worked together to devise the show. We created each Character for the show and shared the building of the props and puppets. I designed and built ‘Bear’, the Birds wings and the structure of the set.
we Developed the show to be performed on peoples door steps. We toured St. Anns and the surrounding area. we performed multiple performances a day, providing a covid-19 safe performance for various families in sun, wind and rain.
